In a faraway galaxy, two astronauts named Tom and Sally were flying their spaceship when they suddenly got hungry. "I'm starving," said Tom. "Me too," said Sally. "Let's find a space café and grab something to eat." They searched for a space café in the navigation system, and finally found one on a distant planet.
When they landed, they saw the café, but to their surprise, there were no waiters or even waiter robots. "How do we order?" asked Sally. "I have no idea," said Tom. They decided to look around and see if they could find someone who could help them.
As they walked around, they saw a menu on a digital board. "Great, we can just order from here," said Tom. They looked at the menu and decided to order a space burger and fries. After pressing the button to place their order, they waited and waited, but no one came to take their order.
"Maybe we should go into the kitchen and see if anyone is there," suggested Sally. They entered the kitchen, but it was empty. "This is strange," said Tom. "How can a café operate without any staff?" Sally saw a sign on the wall that read: "Sorry, we are short of staff. Please make your own food."
"Make our own food? That's ridiculous!" exclaimed Tom. "We're astronauts, not chefs." They looked around and saw a cooking station with ingredients and a grill. They decided to give it a try and started cooking their own food.
Tom was grilling the space burger while Sally was frying the space fries. They were having a hard time with the grill, and the smoke started to fill the kitchen. Suddenly, they heard a siren outside. "What's that?" asked Sally. "It's the space police!" exclaimed Tom. "They must have seen the smoke and thought there was a fire."
Tom and Sally ran out of the kitchen to see the space police pulling up in their space car. "What's going on here?" asked the space officer. Tom and Sally tried to explain the situation, but they were so nervous that they stumbled over their words. The space officer looked at them skeptically and said, "I'm going to need to see some identification."
Tom and Sally realized they had left their space wallets in the ship. "We don't have our IDs on us," said Sally. "You don't have your IDs? That's a serious offense," said the space officer. He handcuffed them and took them into the police car.
As they were driving to the police station, Tom and Sally were frantically trying to come up with an explanation for their situation. "We're astronauts! We were just trying to make our own food because there were no waiters," said Tom. "I'm sure they'll understand," said Sally.
Finally, they arrived at the police station, and the space officer led them inside. Suddenly, they heard a voice behind them say, "What are you two doing here?" It was the owner of the space café.
Tom and Sally explained the situation to the owner, who apologized for the lack of staff and the confusion it caused. The owner even offered them a free meal to make up for the trouble.
Tom and Sally were relieved and grateful to be let go. They went back to their ship and laughed about their misadventure. "I guess being an astronaut doesn't mean you're always prepared for every situation," said Sally. "Yeah, I guess we learned that the hard way," replied Tom.
From that day on, they always made sure to carry their IDs
