Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a man named Frank. Frank was known for being grumpy and having a heart made of stone. He never smiled, never laughed, and never helped anyone in need. Everyone in the village avoided him like the plague.
One day, Frank decided that he wanted a change of heart. He went to the local witch and asked her to cast a spell to make him kind and caring. The witch agreed, but warned Frank that the spell would only work if he truly wanted it to.
The next morning, Frank woke up feeling different. He felt light and joyful, and couldn't help but smile. Everywhere he went, he went out of his way to help people. He would give flowers to old ladies, help children cross the street, and even offer to carry groceries for strangers.
As the days went by, Frank's kindness only increased. He would often break out into song and dance, much to the surprise of the villagers. They started calling him "The Singing Saint."
However, one day Frank realized that he had taken the spell too far. He had become so kind that he was giving away all of his belongings, including his house and clothes! He quickly went back to the witch and asked her to reverse the spell.
The witch chuckled and said, "I told you, the spell would only work if you truly wanted it to. And it seems that you truly wanted to be kind and giving."
Frank was left with a dilemma. He didn't want to be grumpy and heartless again, but he also didn't want to be homeless. So, he decided to find a balance between being kind and being practical.
From that day on, Frank continued to be known as "The Singing Saint," but he also made sure to keep a roof over his head. And the villagers lived happily ever after, knowing that they could always count on Frank for a helping hand and a song.
