Once upon a time, there was a man named Jack who was in a hurry to get to an important job interview. He hailed a taxi and jumped in the backseat without checking his pockets for money. As they drove off, Jack realized he had forgotten his wallet at home and didn't have any cash to pay for the ride.
The taxi driver became irate when Jack told him he had no money and threatened to kick him out on the side of the road. Jack tried to reason with the driver, explaining his situation and promising to pay him as soon as he got back home, but the driver wasn't interested.
In a moment of desperation, Jack spotted a hot dog stand on the corner and came up with a plan. He convinced the taxi driver to stop at the stand so he could buy them both a hot dog, promising to pay for the ride once they finished eating.
The taxi driver reluctantly agreed and they both got out of the car to order their hot dogs. Jack slyly grabbed a handful of ketchup packets and squeezed them onto the driver's white shirt when he wasn't looking.
The driver was furious and demanded Jack pay for the cleaning bill. Jack reminded him that he had no money and the driver, defeated, drove off into the sunset with a ketchup-stained shirt.
Feeling triumphant, Jack walked to his job interview with a newfound confidence, knowing that he had just outsmarted a taxi driver. And that's how Jack learned that sometimes, even the smallest things can give you the upper hand in a tough situation.
