Promises Made Cannot be Erased

Once upon a time, there was a man named Bill who lived in a small village. Bill was known for his carefree and forgetful nature, which often led him into trouble. One day, he made a promise to his friend that he would help him move his furniture to a new house. But, as the day of the move approached, Bill completely forgot about his promise.

On the day of the move, Bill was enjoying his morning coffee when his friend came knocking at his door. He was carrying a heavy couch and asked Bill to help him move it to his new house. Bill remembered his promise and realized that he couldn't back out of it now. He reluctantly agreed to help.

As they were moving the couch, they came across a steep hill and the couch started rolling down the hill with Bill and his friend hanging on for dear life. They tumbled down the hill, laughing and shouting the entire way.

When they finally reached the bottom, they realized that the couch was ruined and all of the furniture was strewn all over the hill. Bill's friend was upset and asked him why he had made a promise if he couldn't keep it.

Bill replied, "Promises made cannot be erased, but they can always be broken. And besides, I promise to help you clean up this mess."

From that day forward, Bill learned the importance of keeping his promises and the joy that comes with a good sense of humor.
