The Time Portal Paradox

gateway to the future
Once upon a time, in a small town, a group of scientists had just finished building a time machine that could take them into the future. The team consisted of a physicist, a biologist, and a computer scientist.

Excited to test their invention, they all gathered around the time machine, eagerly discussing what they would do when they traveled into the future. Suddenly, the computer scientist spoke up, "What if we end up in a future where there are no computers?" The physicist replied, "Or what if we end up in a future where there are no humans?"

The biologist rolled her eyes, "Oh, come on guys. Let's just get in and see what happens." And so, they all climbed into the time machine and set the date for 100 years in the future.

As the machine hummed and whirred, the scientists felt their bodies being jolted and twisted as they were transported through time. Finally, with a loud thud, they arrived in the future.

The physicist was the first to open the door, and as he stepped out, he gasped in amazement. The world was nothing like what he had imagined. The sky was a bright shade of pink, and the grass was a bright shade of purple.

As the others stepped out of the time machine, they too were amazed by the sights and sounds of the future. Suddenly, they heard a voice behind them, "What are you guys doing here?" They turned to see a robot standing behind them.

"We're from the past," the biologist explained.

The robot looked at them skeptically, "What kind of outdated technology are you guys using to travel through time?" The computer scientist cleared his throat, "Well, it's a time machine."

The robot laughed, "A time machine? That's so last century!" The scientists exchanged looks of disbelief. They had traveled all the way to the future, only to find out that their invention was outdated.

Feeling embarrassed, they quickly climbed back into the time machine and set it to return them to their own time. As they were being transported back, the computer scientist muttered, "Looks like we'll have to come up with a new invention."

The physicist nodded, "Or maybe we could just stick to our day jobs."

And so, the scientists returned to their own time, having learned that sometimes, the gateway to the future isn't always what it seems.
